The Berks Amateur Radio Club or BARC came into existence as a result of a reorganization of the Dauberville DX Association or DDXA in November of 2011. The club thought that a name change was needed to reflect the "general interest" mission of the club.
BARC is an ARRL affiliated, general interest amateur radio club that sponsors many types of activities. Our membership represents nearly all facets of the amateur radio hobby and related technologies. BARC operates two FM repeaters in the Berks County, PA Area.

NEWS! BARC Repeater Site Work - 2012
Hello all!
On 3/22/2012, a BARC Repeater Crew removed all the antennas from the tower. We then removed most of the old coax. A new 2m antenna was installed on top of the tower and is now fed with LMR-400 coax.
We need to install the 440mhz antenna. So, the 440 machine is down until we install the antenna. We did clean, seal and coat the old 440mhz antenna.
If you would like to join BARC, just click the "Join Now" Picture to the left. We welcome all. Hurry - you don't want to miss the FUN!
To all those who want to do more for the club - why not make a donation to the club?
